We love homemade specialties. That’s why we still use my great-grandmother’s old recipe for homemade guf, and we make everything ourselves from compote and marmalade to cordial. All of it crafted lovingly from scratch.

Pandekagehuset is located in the heart of one of Denmark’s most significant historical sites: Kongernes Jelling. We’re just a stone’s throw from the Jelling Monuments, part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Here, you can enjoy the taste of freshly baked pancakes while taking in the history of the royal mounds, the rune stones, and the museum right across the street. A visit with us is both a cozy break and an essential part of experiencing what is often called Denmark’s birth certificate.
Our homemade blackcurrant guf is more than just a sweet topping – it’s a piece of family history dating all the way back to 1915. We still follow Grandma Sophie’s original recipe, lovingly passed down through generations a tradition we proudly keep alive.
What makes it special? She always added homemade blackcurrant juice. And of course, we still do the same. We cook the juice ourselves, whip the guf from scratch, and hold on to the old methods – just like Sophie did. The result is a fresh, fruity flavor served on top of your oldschool ice cream – a small taste of family heritage.
